Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Keeper is developed by Plentier Systems Ltd ("Keeper", "we", "us"). This policy applies to the Keeper mobile app and this website.

2. Information we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the service:

• Account data: email address, hashed password (or Sign in with Apple/Google identifier), and profile preferences.
• Appliance data: photos you scan, extracted brand/model/serial information, rooms, purchase and warranty dates, and maintenance history you enter.
• Chat & support content: messages you send to Keeper's AI assistant, including photos submitted for visual diagnosis, so the assistant can ground its answers in your appliance's manual.
• Billing data: subscription status and product identifiers from Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see or store your card details; Apple handles payment directly.
• Usage & device data: basic diagnostic and crash information used to keep the app reliable.

3. How we use it

• To identify your appliances and retrieve or index the correct manuals.
• To power AI chat, guided troubleshooting, and visual diagnosis, grounded in manual content and your appliance history.
• To send maintenance reminders, warranty-expiry alerts, and account-related notifications.
• To verify subscription entitlements and manage billing tiers.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

4. AI processing & third parties

Photos and chat messages you submit may be processed by third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini) strictly to generate recognition results and chat responses. We use cloud storage (Amazon S3 or a compatible provider) to store appliance photos and manuals, and Apple's servers to verify in-app purchases. These providers act as processors under contract and do not use your content to train their own models beyond what their own terms disclose.

5. Data retention

We keep account and appliance data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or submit a data deletion request, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

• Edit most account and appliance data directly in the app.
• Request full account deletion via our Delete My Data page.

7. Children's privacy

Keeper is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport, hashed credentials, and access controls, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage using a strong, unique password.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever this policy changes materially, and where required, notify you in-app.
